As a respected Developer/Broker who has facilitated and/or assisted with many of the large development projects in the High Desert (Mojave River Valley), it is with great pleasure I share BNSF’s special announcement regarding their future Integrated Rail Complex development in Barstow, CA. I had the honor of attending the special announcement on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Harvey House in Barstow, CA.

With a planned ±$1.5 Billion investment and an acquisition of ±4,500 acres on the west side of Barstow, BNSFs “Barstow Integrated Gateway” (“BIG”) will be a state-of-the-art master-planned rail facility and the first to be developed by a Class 1 railroad. The facility will consist of a rail yard, intermodal facility, and transloading warehouses. The facility is projected to enhance the efficiency of the ports of Southern California, improve freight transportation, create critical improvements to the nation’s supply chain demands, and alleviate traffic congestion.

Locally, “BIG” will potentially create an immense upward turn for the economy of Barstow and the High Desert (Mojave River Valley) with a potential implementation of ±20,000 jobs.

I am also very pleased to be the Managing Member of a much-needed and approved ±112.4-acre mixed-use development project, “The Shops at Spanish Trail”, ±5-miles north of BNSF’s “BIG” project. We are accepting offers for available parcels within “The Shops At Spanish Trail”, as the Town of Barstow residents and leadership are elated in knowing “The Shops At Spanish Trail” will provide essential retail, multi-family, lite-industrial, and commercial developments.
